Let There Be Light

Living in the Northwest we often notice our lighting, or lack of therefore most during the winter months.  Your light fixture style can transform or set the tone of a room.  Even the lightbulb used will cast a warm or cool light from your fixture.  Maybe you need to add more windows to let some more natural light into a room or area.

Lately, one of the most sought after requests we have from our clients is to help them lighten the look and create a more airy, not so heavy feel to their homes.

Windows add great natural light to any space. Consider replacing old windows. Adding larger or more windows to a space will lighten a dark area and lend to an open, lighter and more energized space. We are certainly loving the black framed windows we are seeing on trend right now.

Choosing pieces that create open space will help create an airy feel to a room as well. Cabinetry that floats on a wall in a bathroom or any other space will make the area feel more open. Choosing like furniture pieces will do the same and help to achieve a more light and less heavy feel.
