Celebrating the 4th in Style

Celebrating the 4th in Style

As we come near the 4th of July holiday, the backyard barbecues, the fireworks, and the parades and flags, most of us designer types start thinking of how to make our home and yard look festive. And if you’re like us at Ciao, we are not ones for inexpensive plastic fans and décor from the local mart we will ultimately throw away the very next day. We like style. We like statement pieces we will have around for a while.  4th of July is a representation of summer and the pride and sunny colors should show all summer long, not just the one day. Bring the blues, reds and whites home for the entire season.

Start with what you have already and incorporate these patriotic hues around your standard pieces. Use bouquets of daisies and poppies similar to what we have in the showroom to add in pops of red. Create a statement corner with a patterned rust colored wall and navy blue chair. Incorporate differing shapes and sizes of throw pillows of indigos and crimsons to add eye candy to any sofa. One technique we particularity love is to add in pops of denim colored fabric like that shown on our American Leather Comfort Sleeper in our showroom. Or, bring in blues and reds in potted summer plants, occasional lamps, and in even the sodas you drink this holiday season. And of course, utilizing an American flag is never too much. Place one on top of your coffee table as a runner or use it as a back drop for your sectional pieces you want to tie together. See how we prepared for this season by scrolling through our showroom photos below.

Some brands we represent here at Ciao also really deserve a shout-out for being made in the U.S.A. and for their patriotic designs. Ask us which brands are made here in the red, white and blue next time you’re in – we’d love to share. We especially love the usage of our national colors in this dining room showcased above from Lorts.
